My name is Diane Leone.  My father, Nicholas Leone, was a seaman second
class
on the Bennington during WWII.  If you know anyone who has any information
about my father during that time, I would love to hear from him.  I also
have
the following documents related to the Bennington during this time:
    Bennington Travelogs #5 and #7
    A plan of the day for Tuesday, August 7, 1945
    A photocopy of a 1944 New York Sun article on entertainment onboard
somewhere in the Atlantic.  It mentions several crewman's names. including
my
    father's.
